Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Nia empowers people of all shapes, sizes, physical limitations by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit.
NIA is usually practiced barefoot. If not, wear soft-soled slippers ( your feet are part of the experience)
Weight Training, CORE Stability / Strength, Floor Exercise:
You can do many exercises with little or no equipment to enhance your quality of life.
Improve muscle strength and tone – to protect your joints from injury.
Improve CORE muscles strength. Improve endurance and motor fitness.
Maintaining flexibility, coordination and balance - to improve your ability to do everyday activities.

In your participation you acknowledge all responsibilities and all liabilities. You and you alone are responsible to adapt each movement within your ability and range of motion(your body's way).

Thursdays 10:00am EST Total 45mins = Nia(20mins) Weight Training(15mins) Floor Exercise(10mins)
